My own journey into hypnosis and holistic practices began long before I qualified. As a child, I always felt very aware of the complex society and expansive universe I found myself in. I was intensely curious, constantly questioning things and I remember often feeling confused about the world and trying to make sense of it all. I found comfort and resonance in books that uncovered myths, delved into folk stories and explored the art, poetry and wisdom of the world. On occasion, when I was lucky enough to meet someone who was able to relate to me on a deeper level, it helped me connect back to myself and question my place in the world.

My decision to study various techniques of healing came primarily from a need to self-regulate, self-care and self-explore. I had previously used art as a vehicle in which to help calm and regulate my emotions and thoughts but I realised that what I needed was a space to begin a process of introspection, individuation and healing. This quickly turned into a passion and a wider appreciation of how art and healing can be intertwined. I knew then I wanted to be able to pass this on to others in a meaningful way.

Among the techniques I encountered, Hypnosis is one of the ‘fastest’ and most effective ways I addressed some of the challenges in my own life, largely around day-to-day functioning and coping mechanisms.  As well as dealing with existing challenges, like anxiety and stress, hypnosis allowed me to quickly improve my quality of sleep and rest time. Hypnosis can also be a common tool used to aid recovery and pain management and help us remove some of the roadblocks – for me, I was simply getting in my own way. With time, it can also help with weight loss, habit and behaviour change and act as a powerful tool; encouraging connectivity and integration with our wholeness, bringing into ourselves balance and lightness in a world that can often feel heavy.

Hypnosis can also help provide solutions here too and can aid in conquering limiting beliefs, reprogramming your mind for success and allowing you to be more open and receptive to positive changes. With an open mind, it can help you overcome challenges and reach your fullest potential to help you balance, channel and readdress your needs and wants and help you to excel in the areas that matter the most to you.

The Lucid Sun approach is grounded in hypnosis as a main technique while bringing in other elements collected throughout my own journey to make it more holistic and tailored to individual needs. I believe in the power of the mind and body connection and the wisdom of nature and our ancestors as a powerful ally in our journey to health. I use a blend of Eastern and Western philosophy in my practice and I take a lot of my grounding techniques from my experience with tarot, herbal medicine and Reiki and my current study of analytical psychology. All of these practices, whilst I won’t perform these in our sessions, do help me to give our sessions depth and fullness, beyond the main hypnotic practice.

I understand it can be challenging to take space and time away from our daily battles to embark on a journey of transformation and often these conflicts we wage come from within.

Manifesting our own potential (or self-mastery) and harnessing your own thoughts, emotions and actions to achieve a greater personal growth and fulfilment is a long-fought battle. It involves discipline, self-awareness and continued commitment to yourself to make conscious choices every day and align your actions with your values. For most, the realistic approach is therefore through small and consistent daily steps and patience that allow us to embrace the discomfort of change and find a simple yet graceful way towards renewal and reimagining.

I see hypnosis as a collaborative process but you are the key to making the journey a success. Nothing happens without you and you will be supported and guided at every step of our practice. I will offer a safe space for you to explore all your thoughts, feelings and emotions. I operate a strictly no-taboo policy, which applies to us both.  I know the courage and bravery it takes to open yourself up in front of another person, to be true, open and exposed, yet full of hope. Everything is open to discussion and I will be honest and transparent. I encourage you to allow us to explore our struggles together. Regardless of what you’re facing, there is a space here for you.

Hypnotherapy can be a powerful tool for personal transformation when you’re willing to take those steps. Contrary to popular belief, hypnosis is not about mind control or loss of consciousness. You will remain aware, awake and in control throughout every session. Hypnosis is one of the fastest and most effective ways to reach our subconscious parts of ourselves, where all change is possible; it works as just one of the tools to allow us to create that space needed to help us shift our perspective and help with self-development.

It is here, when we uncover underlying feelings, emotions, and attitudes and accept these, working with them instead of against them, that all change becomes possible. When we first begin our work together, we will talk about your goals and the changes you’d like to experience. You have the freedom to ask me as many questions as you need to feel truly comfortable and allow yourself the space and time to see if we’re a good fit, there is no pressure to make a long-term commitment. Change can be difficult, but I’m here so you don’t have to handle it alone.
